Milbon Co.,Ltd. and KOSÉ Corporation Announces Establishment of Jointly Owned KOSE Milbon Cosmetics Co., Ltd

On July 31, 2017, the board of directors of KOSE Corporation approved a resolution to establish KOSE Milbon Cosmetics Co. Ltd. on the same day. The formation of this company, which is a KOSE subsidiary jointly owned with Milbon Co.
Ltd., is based on the capital and business alliance with Milbon that was announced by KOSE on January 25, 2017. This alliance makes it possible to combine the skin care and makeup product development expertise of KOSE with the sales network and beauty care education resources of Milbon. One objective of the alliance is the joint development of skin care and makeup products for beauty salons and the sale of these products in Japan.
KOSE and Milbon also plan to build a platform for a broad range of other activities for the long-term success of this alliance.
Milbon Co., Ltd. is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of hair cosmetics, as well as the provision of related services. The Company is involved in the provision of permanent wave lotions, including thioglycolic acid permanent wave lotion, cysteine permanent wave lotion and anti-frizz straightening lotion; hair care products, including shampoos, hair conditioners, hair treatment, hair tonics, hair creams, liquid and foamy hairdressing products, setting lotions and hair sprays; hair colorants, encompassing oxidation hair dyes, hair dyeing products and hair bleaches, as well as other products, including hair rods, rollers, flat irons and schedule books, among others.
