SINGAPORE (AP) _ Kulicke and Soffa Industries Inc. (KLIC) on Wednesday reported fiscal third-quarter net income of $119 million.

On a per-share basis, the Singapore-based company said it had profit of $1.99. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $2.09 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.55 per share.

The semiconductor equipment maker posted revenue of $372.1 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in September, Kulicke and Soffa expects its per-share earnings to range from 83 cents to $1.03. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had forecast adjusted earnings per share of $1.51.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $260 million to $300 million for the fiscal fourth quarter. Analysts surveyed by Zacks had expected revenue of $369.6 million.
