KFH Group Acting CEO, AbdulWahab Essa Al-Rushood said that protecting customer data and providing the best secured digital banking services have always been a priority for KFH and one of its pros.

Al-Rushood added that KFH is coping with and adopting advanced security systems to protect customers data according to the best global standards in this field. He emphasized that this trend is part of KFH digitalization strategy.

Al-Rushood emphasized that KFH is a core partner in the success of the "Be Aware" campaign, launched by the Central Bank of Kuwait for the second year respectively in collaboration with Kuwait Banking Association. He added that the campaign goals are compatible with KFH efforts to protect customers data and keep them aware of their rights and obligations. KFH believes in enhancing financial literacy among various society segments while achieving the best benefit from banking services.

He indicated that the accelerating banking industry digitalization efforts regionally and globally have called for an enhancement of cyber security strategies to avoid any electronic fraud attempts.

In this context, Al-Rushood affirmed that KFH has adopted a multilayered cyber security approach to ensure the safety of the bank's digital assets. Also, it has applied the best hedging methods including continuing review of the bank's systems, evaluation of the safety and security of the e-services provided by the bank, activation of control regulations and other procedures to enhance cyber security.

He added that with the spread of COVID19 pandemic, e-services and digital banking operations witnessed a remarkable momentum accompanied by an increase in cyber risks and electronic fraud. Considering these facts, it was necessary to raise our customers awareness of these challenges and combat all e-fraud attempts by not sharing confidential information, account No., ATM card details, passwords, personal identification code, security pin on the back of the card and avoid replying to any telephone calls or suspicious messages which they may receive whether in the form of SMS or through social media, especially if the sender's No. is unknown or unidentified.

Al-Rushood indicated that the seminars and awareness messages which KFH continues to post on its website or social media accounts are considered as an integral part of its efforts to combat cybercrimes and fraud which have coincided with the expansion of banks in providing online banking services. The "Be Aware" campaign aims to spread awareness of customers rights concerning personal finance transactions whether consumer or installment financing, the mechanism to lodge complaints regarding banking services, various banking cards, methods to avoid fraud attempts, awareness on the risks of the encashments of loans and high-risk investments and other important issues and topics.

The awareness campaign "Be Aware", which is continuing for the second year respectively, aims to spread banking literacy among society and increase public awareness on the most important financial issues and the method to protect assets from any fraud attempts. It also aims to highlight the role of the banking sector in general and the banking products which the bank provides by presenting and posting instructions and tips through media and social media platforms.
