Lagardère Unlimited hires sports industry executive Andy Pierce to lead North American platform
Lagardère Unlimited is pleased to announce the hiring of longtime sports industry executive Andy Pierce as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagardère Unlimited North American platform.
Pierce will join Lagardère Unlimited, where he will lead the firm's North American sports platform while also utilizing his experience in sports consulting, sales and business development to continue to diversify the business formed by Chairman Arnaud Lagardère in 2010. Pierce will report directly to Mr. Lagardère.
"Andy is a trusted leader," said Mr. Lagardère. "His 30 years of experience in forming corporate partnerships and within the sports industry will enhance our existing business and will bring about several new lines of business for Lagardère Unlimited globally. I have full confidence in Andy's ability to lead and grow our sports business in North America."
Pierce comes to Lagardère Unlimited after 4 years with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he established a sports consulting practice and golf division. Prior to joining CAA, Pierce spent 27 years at IMG, where he led IMG Consulting, reporting directly to IMG founder, the late Mark McCormack and, subsequently, the late Ted Forstmann following IMG's sale to Forstmann Little in 2004.
"The platform that Arnaud and his team have built over the last 3 years is quite amazing. The company's strategy has never been more compelling", said Pierce. "I am incredibly energized and honored to help lead Lagardère Unlimited into the future".
