Jan 4 (Reuters) - Sri Lankan shares snapped a four-day gaining streak on Wednesday, weighed by losses in industrial and energy stocks.

* The CSE All-Share index fell ~0.6% to 8,463.93.

* The index fell 30.5% in 2022, its worst year since 2008 as the island nation battled a severe economic crisis.

* Conglomerate Expolanka Holdings and Lanka IOC were the biggest drags on Wednesday, down ~2.5% and ~3%, respectively, according to Refinitiv data.

* The trading volume fell to 112 million shares from 156.2 million in the previous session.

* The equity market's turnover declined to 2.26 billion Sri Lankan rupees ($6.23 million) from 2.82 billion rupees in the previous session, according to exchange data.

* Foreign investors were net buyers in the equity market, purchasing stocks worth 74.2 million rupees, while domestic investors were net sellers, offloading 2.21 billion rupees of shares, the data showed.
