Laox CO., LTD. (TSE:8202) entered into contract to acquire 19.84% stake in Okitsu Co., Ltd. from six individuals and other shareholders on September 22 ,2017. In a related transaction, Laox CO., LTD. entered into contract to acquire Kowa Sogyo Co., Ltd. from four individuals and other shareholders on September 22, 2017. Under the terms of the transaction, Laox CO., LTD. will acquire 0.012 million shares of Okitsu Co., Ltd. For the year ended December 31, 2016, Okitsu Co., Ltd. reported total assets of ¥12.55 billion, net assets of ¥4.29 billion, sales of ¥8.06 billion, and operating loss of ¥819 million. The transaction was decided by Board of Directors of Laox CO., LTD. The transaction is expected to close on October 6, 2017.
