Lavo.tv AS, a Norwegian-based specialist in television streaming and consumer
interaction, announces today the appointment of Lars Christian Beitnes as Chief
Executive Officer of Lavo.tv. Former CEO Bernhard A. Steen steps down from this
role with effect as of today.
Mr. Beitnes has 15 years' experience as CEO and as chairman of listed entities,
with extensive experience building early stage companies, including with respect
to public listings and reverse takeovers. In his various roles at other listed
and/or early stage companies, Mr. Beitnes has successfully focused on attractive
cashflow generation and sustainable growth. Mr. Beitnes also is an investor,
investment and business adviser, as well as founder, chairman and sole owner of
Aston Group - an international corporate and management services group based in
seven countries.
"I am delighted to join Lavo.tv in this important juncture of its development"
says Mr. Beitnes. "We feel Lavo.tv is close to reaching a deal on the financing
with European High Growth Opportunities Securitization Fund, which will provide
the impetus for the next phase of Lavo.tv's growth".
John Quinlan, Lavo.tv chairman: "Bernhard's focus has been on technical
development and making sure that we have a good platform for the future. We have
been discussing the future of Lavo.tv for some time and upon being informed of
Mr. Beitnes availability, and given that Lavo.tv is now close to signing a new
financing agreement, Bernhard and I both agreed this was the right time to make
the change in Lavo's leadership. I would like to thank Bernhard for his service,
as he has been instrumental in getting Lavo.tv through a tough period. It is now
time for Lavo.tv to move forward in the next phase of its development under the
leadership of Mr. Beitnes."
Lavo.tv is continuing to focus on its technology, and the company will pursue
new deals when the funding is in place.
