Lawson : Announcement of organizational and personnel changes

Lawson, Inc. has announced the following organizational and personnel changes.

■ Organizational changes
(Effective date: March 1, 2022)

In FY2022, we set the strategic concept of "community-based, customer centric, and locally managed stores" toward the realization of the "new hubs of refreshment in every community" that pursues new concept of convenience, which is the goal of the "Lawson Group Challenge 2025".
In order to strengthen organizational structure to thoroughly pursue the creation of customer value at the site close to the customer, we will reform the organization with the aim of "small headquarters / strong store front" and "generalization and flattening of organization".

1) Redefinition of organizational units

Division: organizational unit bundling multiple functional domain
Company: Profit & liability unit
Dept.: organizational unit with specific function
Office: assigned under the direct control of the President as an organizational unit responsible for functions directly linked to company-wide management

2) Organizational changes

Establishment of "Hokkaido Company" and "Kinki Company"

·In order to realize "community-based, customer centric, and locally managed stores" principle and "strong store front", we will establish "Hokkaido Company" in Hokkaido and "Kinki Company" in Kinki as a leading area of "Regional Company" which will be independent of the existing organization.
As a result, we aim to be close to the community by grasping the characteristics of each region and quickly responding to changes of customer and local needs.

Establishment of Incubation Company

·Incubation Company will handle all new business development, including "Open Innovation Center" which is now under IT Solutions Division.

Establishment of "Internal Audit Office", "CS Promotion Office" and "SDGs Promotion Office" under the direct control of the President

·Rename Internal Audit Division to "Internal Audit Office"
·Establish "CS Promotion Office" which will include current Contact Center Management Dept. and consumer survey functions
·Rename SDGs Promotion Department to "SDGs Promotion Office"
