NEW YORK, September 8, 2011 – Lazard Ltd (NYSE: LAZ) announced today that Timothy M. George has joined the firm as a Managing Director in its Financial Advisory business, effective immediately.

Mr. George has more than 30 years’ experience in the investment banking industry, having advised on major transactions for many of the leading companies in the consumer, food and beverage sectors.

Mr. George, based in New York, was previously a Founding Partner of Greenhill & Co. and a member of its Management Committee. Prior to joining Greenhill in 1997, he was a Managing Director and head of Morgan Stanley’s Global Food, Beverage and Consumer Products Group.
