For the third year in a row, Leidos tops the Washington Technology Top 100.
Specifics: The list ranks the largest federal contractors by revenue in the high-tech market (work in IT, systems integration, professional services and telecom). Leidos expanded its lead by more than $1.3 billion from the previous year, driven by large contract wins and acquisitions:
In May, Leidos completed its acquisition of Gibbs & Cox, expanding its work in naval architecture and marine engineering.
In February, the company landed a $2 billion contract to expand the military's nonmedical counseling program.
In January, the company completed its acquisition of 1901 Group, advancing the company's digital modernization strategy by two years, according to CFO Jim Reagan.
In December, the company won an $8 billion contract to modernize the Navy's enterprise network.
Last May, the company completed its acquisition of the L3Harris Technologies airport security business.
Last January, the company completed its acquisition of Dynetics, expanding its work in weapons development and space exploration.

Looking ahead: Reagan said the military's focus on modernization should continue to strengthen the company, as should infrastructure modernization in air travel and energy.
