Leoni AG: Dr Harald Nippel becomes Chief Financial Officer at Leoni Nuremberg - Leoni AG is strengthening its Board of Directors: The Supervisory Board has appointed Dr Harald Nippel [58] as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) as of 1 April 2022. Harald Nippel, who holds a PhD in industrial engineering, will join Leoni already on 1 February to ensure an optimal transition.

Harald Nippel comes from the mechanical engineering company KraussMaffei Group GmbH, where he served as CFO since 2016 and during this time, among other things, was responsible for the successful IPO of KraussMaffei Company Limited (KMCL) on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Besides that, he was also involved in restructuring projects there. Previously, Nippel was CFO of the automotive supplier Ixetic GmbH/Magna Powertrain and until 2010 CFO of Böwe Systec AG, a provider of automation solutions. Before 2007, he held various international management positions, including around five years as CFO in the USA.

In addition to further stabilising the company and pursuing its focus on the automotive industry, the newly organized Board of Directors will consequently advance Leoni's development into a customer-driven system partner for the wiring system of the future. As CFO of Leoni AG, Nippel will be responsible for Corporate Accounting, Corporate Controlling, Corporate Finance & Treasury, Corporate Taxes, Corporate Information Technology and Corporate Internal Audit.
