Liberty Global, co-shareholder of VodafoneZiggo, has made an offer for all shares of Belgian cable operator Telenet. Telenet shares have been suspended on the stock exchange since Thursday morning.

The listing of the telecom company Telenet was suspended at its own request "until a press release appears.

That press release is there. Liberty Global already has a majority of the shares, but now the American company is offering 22 euros per share for the remaining package.

Back in 2012, Liberty Global also undertook a takeover attempt, but it failed. Meanwhile, Telenet has lost a lot of value on the stock market.

Telenet is comparable to Vodafone/Ziggo. It offers internet, TV and telephony.
