Number of new business for fiscal 2020 recorded a historical high of 100,587

TOKYO, April 7, 2021 - LIFENET INSURANCE COMPANY (TSE Mothers 7157, President Ryosuke Mori, URL: https://ir.lifenet-seimei.co.jp/en/)announces the monthly business performance for March 2021.

Annualized premium*1 of new business in the month of March 2021 was 366 million yen (111% of March 2020), and the number of new business was 8,833 (114% of March 2020). In addition, the number of new business for fiscal 2020 ended March 31, 2021 was 100,587 and recorded a historical high.

Accordingly, annualized premium*1 of policies-in-force was 18,714 million yen. The number of policies-in-force as of the end of March 2021 resulted in a total of 439,957, and sum insured of policies-in-force stands at 2,994,268 million yen.

In March 2021, insurance premiums and claims and benefits recorded 1,511 million yen (120% of March 2020) and 336 million yen (139% of March 2020), respectively.
