RADNOR, Pa., July 21, 2022 - Lincoln Financial Group (NYSE:LNC) today announced that for the seventh consecutive year, the company has been named as a Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion, earning a 100% score on the 2022 Disability Equality Index® (DEI). A joint initiative between the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) and Disability:IN, the DEI recognizes Lincoln's continued commitment to creating an accessible, inclusive environment for people with disabilities.

"At Lincoln, we strive to create an inclusive workplace, marketplace and community - one that values and respects diversity, as well as each individuals' unique talents," said Allison Green Johnson, senior vice president, chief diversity officer at Lincoln Financial Group. "Diversity, equity and inclusion is embedded in every aspect of our business and I'm consistently in awe of the tremendous strides we continue to make. I speak for the entire organization when I say we're honored to be recognized on the Disability Equality Index for the seventh consecutive year."

Diversity, equity and inclusion is a key driver of Lincoln's culture and business practices, and the organization is committed to advancing an environment in which multiple perspectives, varied skills sets, creative insights, diverse backgrounds and different abilities are valued and drive superior results. Lincoln's pledge to creating and maintaining a workplace environment and a culture where everyone can succeed is supported by its seven Business Resource Groups (BRGs). Established in 2013, Lincoln's People with disAbilities BRG strives to create awareness and opportunities for employees with disabilities-both seen and unseen.

"Over the last nearly decade, Lincoln's People with disAbilities BRG has made a significant impact to our culture by advocating for people with disabilities, providing education and bringing awareness to employees and our financial advisors and relentlessly promoting integrations, alliances and opportunities for inclusion," said Mike Kellar, senior vice president, head of talent, co-executive sponsor of the People with disAbilities BRG, at Lincoln Financial Group. "Each and every day, we strengthen our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and this recognition is a testament of that."

The DEI is the world's most comprehensive benchmarking tool to measure disability workplace inclusion against competitors. It evaluates whether companies have policies that promote equal opportunity employment, embrace diversity, encourage people with disabilities to be themselves and have practices in place that provide comprehensive access.

This year, 415 participating corporations, including 60 Fortune 100, 188 Fortune 500 and 227 Fortune 1000 companies were rigorously evaluated in the following categories: Culture & Leadership; Enterprise-Wide Access; Employment Practices (Benefits, Recruitment, Employment, Education, Retention & Advancement, Accommodations); Community Engagement; Supplier Diversity; Non-U.S. Operations (Non-Weighted). In 2022, the DEI included new non-weighted Leadership questions about including disability in corporate board diversity criteria.
