Linde announced today that it has been recognized by S&P Global as a leader in sustainability, achieving the highest score of any industrial gases company in the Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) - S&P 2023's global sustainability assessment.

The S&P Global CSA is an annual sustainability benchmark that also serves as the basis for the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes, the S&P 500 ESG and other sustainability indices.

Overall, Linde ranks in the 100th percentile among more than 500 chemical companies, with the second-highest score in the chemical sector.

The company claims that its products, technologies and services have helped customers avoid more than 90 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent in 2022, equivalent to the annual emissions of 20 million passenger cars, and more than double Linde's global emissions.
