Linde PLC has reached an agreement to supply industrial gases to Samsung Electronics Co.'s latest semiconductor facilities in South Korea, the company said Wednesday.

The agreement will see Linde supply ultra-high-purity gases to new facilities at Samsung's Pyeongtaek site, where Linde is already the main supplier of industrial gases. Under the agreement, Linde said it will build, own and operate air-separation plants at the site.

The new facility will accelerate Samsung's chip design and production amid rising demand for semiconductors, Linde said.
