Liontown Resources Limited announced the appointment of highly experienced mining engineer Shane McLeay as an Independent Non-Executive Director, effective from 3 May 2022. The appointment will further strengthen the depth and capability of the Liontown Board while also bringing a fresh perspective, helping to ensure that the Company continues to embrace innovation in advancing the development of its world-class Kathleen Valley Lithium Project in WA. Mr. McLeay is a highly respected mining engineer and senior manager in the resource sector with over 25 years' experience.

He has a strong track record in starting up and operating mines of varying scale, with a skillset that includes project management, building highly capable teams and overseeing operational ramp-up to steady-state production. His expertise in underground mining and in adopting innovative, technology-led solutions will be extremely valuable during the development and operational phases of the Kathleen Valley Project. Mr. McLeay is the Founder and Managing Director of Entech Pty Ltd. In this role, Mr. McLeay has consulted to numerous operations, specializing in the study and execution of new mining projects.

His work has seen him play a key role with projects such as Sandfire Resources' DeGrussa Copper Mine in WA, the Bellevue Gold Project, Independence Group's Nova Nickel Project and performing due diligence on Saracen Mineral's acquisition of a 50% stake in the Super Pit gold mine in WA. Following his commencement, it is envisaged that Mr. McLeay will also be appointed to one or more of the sub-committees of the Board. He will be considered as an Independent Director upon joining the Board.
