PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Livent Corp. (LTHM) on Thursday reported a loss of $12.6 million in its third quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Philadelphia-based company said it had a loss of 8 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 3 cents per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 4 cents per share.

The supplier of performance lithium compounds posted revenue of $103.6 million in the period, which beat Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $96.7 million.

Livent expects full-year revenue in the range of $390 million to $410 million.
