LIXIL Receives "IR Special Award" and "'Most Liked!' IR Award" at JIRA's 2021 IR Awards

Tokyo - In recognition of a more proactive approach towards our IR activities, LIXIL Corporation ("LIXIL", TSE Code: 5938), has received the "IR Special Award" and "'Most Liked!' IR Award" at the 2021 IR Awards organized by the Japan Investor Relations Association (JIRA). LIXIL is committed to listening to investors and has enhanced our sustainability-related disclosure as a result of stakeholder feedback. We also held our first-ever ESG briefing in April 2021 for LIXIL management and outside directors to share dialogue and opinions with domestic and international investors on a range of ESG-related topics. These awards reflect LIXIL's ongoing efforts.

About the JIRA IR Awards

The JIRA IR Awards recognize companies that have achieved outstanding results, such as deeply understanding the purpose of IR, actively working on IR, and receiving strong support from market participants. This year, 293 companies were evaluated and 14 selected to receive awards. The "IR Grand Prix" was given to two companies, the "Best IR Award" to six, the "IR Special Award" to three, and the "Best IR Award for Encouragement" also to three. The "IR Special Award", which LIXIL received for the first time, recognizes companies with notable IR activities, such as sustained improvement in IR activities, actively leading IR activities in their industry, and being highly regarded for IR activities aimed at individual investors. In addition, the "'Most Liked!' IR Award", which LIXIL also received, was voted for by other companies so reflects their perspectives. Its purpose is to share information about proactive IR activities and realize best practices. The theme of the 2021 awards was "IR activities that contribute to sustainability".

Reasons for LIXIL receiving the "IR Special Award"

JIRA's feedback on LIXIL's activities:

"The management recognizes the importance of capital markets and takes the stage at every quarterly financial result briefing. His frank way of speaking, focusing on matters of high interest to investors, is evaluated highly. Meanwhile, LIXIL strives to disclose matters related to the linking of its management strategy and corporate value. The ESG briefing and the provision of opportunities for dialogue with outside directors are also evaluated highly. The company's proactive attitude toward overall IR activities, including online factory visits, live streams, and the disclosure of presentations and Q&A transcripts, has been favorably received by the investment community."

Regarding the "Most Liked!" IR Award, many companies voted that they "most liked" our ESG briefing* initiative, during which the CEO, Corporate Responsibility executive officer, and two outside directors took the stage.
