LIXIL Completes Transfer of Shares in LIXIL VIVA

Tokyo - LIXIL Group Corporation ("LIXIL Group", TSE Code: 5938), maker of pioneering water and housing products, announced today it has completed the transfer of all common shares in LIXIL VIVA CORPORATION ("LIXIL VIVA"). The transaction was finalized following the completion of Arcland Sakamoto Co., Ltd.'s ("Arcland Sakamoto") cash tender offer for the common shares of LIXIL VIVA, a share consolidation of the common shares of LIXIL VIVA, and LIXIL VIVA's buy-back of its shares held by LIXIL Group, making LIXIL VIVA a wholly-owned subsidiary of Arcland Sakamoto.

LIXIL VIVA operates home improvement retail chains, VIVA HOME and Super VIVA Home, in Japan. The latter is a megastore and serves as a one-stop shop for consumers and contractors, offering a wide array of products from building materials and hardware to household items. LIXIL VIVA has established a solid position as one of the major players in the sector.

Ahead of the planned merger between LIXIL Group and LIXIL Corporation in December, the transaction accelerates LIXIL Group's ongoing transformation to streamline operations, realign its business portfolio to maximize synergies and efficiencies, and reallocate resources to core growth areas.
