Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Army have successfully completed another production qualification flight test of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
During the test, a HIMARS launched two PrSM missiles during a medium-range flight against a set of targets, proving 'the system's continued accuracy and availability'.
' The PrSM demonstrates outstanding performance and system reliability', said Carolyn Orzechowski, Vice President of Precision Strike Launchers and Missiles at Lockheed Martin.
The test validates production and follows the fourth Early Operational Capability (EOC) contract, awarded in March.
The PrSM is the US Army's next-generation long-range precision strike missile, capable of neutralizing targets more than 400 kilometers away.
