Logicom Romania has announced the appointment of a new management team. Oana Barbu has taken on duties as General Manager, while Mircea Ciucur has taken on the role of Deputy General Manager. The pair have more than 20 years of experience in the local ITC industry, and their goal in the coming years is to consolidate Logicom's market position as Value Added Distrutor, and boost its growth in the local market.

'Logicom is a renowned distributor with an extremely attractive portfolio and fast business growth. Our management vision is to strengthen the position of the company as a value-added distributor, but also to expand our portfolio with new partnerships. This month, we signed an agreement with HP for the distribution of HP Supplies, and as of this month, Logicom is the only HP broadliner in Romania. Of course, we will not stop there. We are already working on other partnerships to develop our data center offering, with complementary solutions to our current portfolio vendors, and add more business value to our resellers and their end customers', says Oana Barbu, General Manager, Logicom Romania.

At the same time, Logicom Romania will continue to invest in expanding the local team, as well as further improving the logistics system available to partners. By the end of August, the company will relocate and expand its warehouse to increase its storage capacity to over 2,000 sqm.

'Business growth and portfolio expansion will also be supported by multiple improvements in the logistics system. We are keen to facilitate our partners' access to technology, optimizing order placement flows and delivery time. In order to achieve that, we are developing a new B2B portal that will simplify order placement and processing,' explains Mircea Ciucur, Deputy General Manager.

In 2018, after the acquisition of Gemini, Logicom Romania doubled its turnover to 170 million lei and increased the number of distribution partners by more than 60%. The new management team will continue the development process by expanding the products and solutions portfolio, while at the same time increasing the level of support to the partner channel. Logicom Romania currently employs 52 professionals in its offices in Bucharest, Timisoara, and Iasi, and is part of the Logicom Group, headquartered in Cyprus.
