Lojas Renner S.A. Announces Earnings Results for the Third Quarter and Nine Months Ending 2017

Lojas Renner S.A. announced earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ending 2017. For the third quarter, the company reported net revenue from merchandise sales increased by 20% as compared to increase of 13.4% for the same period last year. EBITDA was BRL 299 million with an EBITDA margin of 19.8%. Net income was 65.3% higher than the third quarter of 2016 while net margin was 260 bps higher year-on-year.
For the nine months, net revenue from merchandise sales increased by 15.2% as compared to increase of 9.5% for the same period last year. Adjusted EBITDA was BRL 872 million with a margin of 19.9%. Net income totaled BRL 400 million with a net margin of 9.2%.
Lojas Renner S.A. specializes in the retail distribution of clothes and accessories for men, women and children. Gross sales break down by activity as follows:
- sale of products (90.4%): clothes, lingerie, shoes, bags, accessories, perfumes, cosmetic products, etc.;
- financial products (9.6%).
At the end of 2021, the marketing of the products is ensured through a network of 636 stores under the Renner (404), Camicado (119), Youcom (104) and Ashua (9) names in Brazil, and through Internet.
