LOTTE Chemical Titan Holding Berhad reported earnings results for the first quarter of 2020. The company recorded moderate decline in sales revenue to MYR 1.46 billion in the first quarter, which is a 26% and 33% drop, respectively, from the previous quarter and corresponding quarter last year amidst the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic. The company also reported loss after tax of MYR 169.4 million in the first quarter on notable operating margin compression and higher provision for write down of inventory cost to net realisable value as a result from the lower product ASP coupled with sudden drop in its inventory value to market price.
