PARIS (dpa-AFX) - A strike by air traffic controllers in France is expected to lead to restrictions in air traffic next Monday. The number of flights will be reduced by 25 percent at Paris-Orly and Toulouse airports and by 20 percent in Bordeaux and Marseille, the Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC) announced in Paris on Thursday. Nevertheless, delays and disruptions to air traffic are to be expected from Sunday evening until Tuesday morning.
In the past, strikes by French air traffic controllers have not only slowed down flights within France and connections to and from Germany. Flights merely crossing French airspace, for example on their way from Germany to Spain, were also affected./evs/DP/jha
