LUKOIL CONTINUES CONSTRUCTING PUBLIC AMENITIES IN KOGALYM

Friday, January 15, 2021

Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra Natalya Komarova and President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov discussed ongoing implementation of social projects envisaged by the Social Partnership Agreement today in the city of Kogalym, Yugra. The head of the region acknowledged LUKOIL's immense contribution to the development of the cities of Yugra. Public amenities, which are constructed thanks to LUKOIL's support, satisfy Yugra people's needs and make the region more attractive for tourists.

Natalya Komarova and Vagit Alekperov visited Olimp sports complex that had been put in service after a LUKOIL-sponsored refurbishing. About 870 square metres of the facility underwent renovation; exercise halls, a doctor's office and administration rooms were outfitted. The complex will serve as training grounds for young boxing and sambo fighters who go to Dvorets Sporta sports school.

Vagit Alekperov also inspected work progress at the construction sites of Ibis Styles Kogalym hotel and a tennis centre, which are being built thanks to LUKOIL's support.

For LUKOIL, carrying out these projects is another step to improve the urban environment in Kogalym. With the Company's assistance, Kogalym acquired a number of new public amenities over the last few years, such as Galaktika sports and culture centre, Church of the Holy Martyr Tatiana, the first local branch of the State Academic Maly Theatre outside Moscow, and an arts centre of the Russian Museum.

During his working visit to Kogalym, Vagit Alekperov also held a meeting with the management of LUKOIL-Zapadnaya Sibir LLC (PJSC LUKOIL wholly owned subsidiary that operates in the region).

Vagit Alekperov and Natalya Komarova also visited LUKOIL EPU Service production site, where they took a look at a laboratory for regeneration of magnets used in brushless DC electric motors. Regeneration of the previously used magnets reduces cost of manufacturing oil service equipment.
