President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov arrived today in the city of Pokachi (Yugra region, Russia) on a working visit.

He inspected construction site of a new sports centre that is currently being built under the Cooperation Agreement between LUKOIL and Yugra government.

The area of the three blocks that form the complex exceeds 5,700 square metres. The first block has halls for acrobatics and combat sports; the second houses a multi-purpose hall suitable for volleyball, basketball, futsal and badminton training and competitions. The third block has two storeys where a gym, fitness halls, changing rooms, offices and a cafe will be located. The complex will also include a physical fitness testing centre, an artificial climbing facility and an inclusive sports department. The entire facility will be able to accommodate two thousand persons a day.

The sports centre is set for opening this autumn under the auspices of LUKOIL's 30th anniversary celebrations.

Vagit Alekperov also attended the ceremony of national, ministerial and corporate awards presentation to employees of LUKOIL subsidiary in West Siberia.
