LVMH announces the appointment of Michael Rider as artistic director of the Maison Celine, 'responsible for the creative direction of women's and men's collections, including ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories as well as couture'.

Michael Rider will take up his position with the luxury group at the beginning of 2025. He spent 10 years as design director after Phoebe Philo at Celine, then joined Polo Ralph Lauren as creative director.

Earlier in the day, LVMH announced the departure of Hedi Slimane, creative director of art and image for the House of Celine since January 2018, without giving details of the reasons for his departure.
