--LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton is in talks with Tiffany & Co. over new terms for a potential combination, reports the Financial Times, citing unnamed sources.

--The French luxury-goods company is open to new terms after U.S. jeweler Tiffany indicated recently it was willing to consider a bid lower than the original $135 a share, as long as it remained above $130 a share, the FT reports, adding that negotiations are continuing.

--LVMH had previously threatened to walk away from the deal, and the two sides currently have active lawsuits against each other in the U.S.
