--French luxury-goods group LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE and Tod's SpA are considering doing "something together," the latter's chairman said during an online conference Thursday, Reuters reports, a week after LVMH increased its share holding in the Italian footwear company.

--The stake increase "was pretty symbolic but the idea is to see whether we can do something together, we would be happy to do so," Tod's Chairman Diego Della Valle said, according to Reuters.

--Analysts have speculated that LVMH could be interested in a takeover of Tod's in the longer term, or that the stake increase could be a precursor to the smaller company going private.
