New Chairman and Chief Executive Officer to take the helm of M&C Saatchi in 2021

Gareth Davis will become Independent Non-Executive Chairman following the close of the Company's annual general meeting, replacing outgoing Chairman and co-founder, Jeremy Sinclair, who will leave the company on 31 December 2020.

The Board will appoint Moray MacLennan, currently Worldwide CEO, to succeed David Kershaw, Chief Executive Officer and co-founder who will step down by the end of the year, as M&C Saatchi plc's next Chief Executive Officer. Moray will take up his role and join the Board on 1 January 2021, following a comprehensive handover process.

Bill Muirhead, Executive Director and co-founder, intends to step down from the Board in March 2021.

Following these changes, the new M&C Saatchi plc Board will comprise:

  • Gareth Davis, Independent Non-Executive Chairman
  • Moray MacLennan, Chief Executive Officer
  • Mickey Kalifa, Chief Financial Officer
  • Lisa Gordon, Senior Independent Director
  • Louise Jackson, Independent Non-Executive Director, Chair Remuneration Committee
  • Colin Jones, Independent Non-Executive Director, Chair Audit Committee

Moray MacLennan, Chief Executive Officer, commented:

Moray and the Board will share their strategy for future growth at a capital markets day in January 2021.
