M&T Bank has promoted Charles Pinckney to regional president for its Albany-area market. The leadership change comes as the previous market president, Beth Beshaw, was recently promoted to a new position as senior director of strategy and execution on M&T's community banking team. Pinckney has been with the M&T Bank for 14 years.

He started with M&T Bank during an internship while at Union College. In his new role, Pinckney will take on added regional leadership responsibilities while still in a senior role supporting commercial real estate, middle market, health care and not-for-profit businesses. Each regionally based team at M&T Bank creates different strategies to serve their markets.
