Alexander Izosimov, formerly head of VimpelCom, has been appointed head of M.Video-Eldorado Group. He will start in the new position on October 1, 2020. Enrique Fernandez, who was previously the CEO, has moved to the M.Video board of directors. Izosimov will focus on further developing the Group's One Retail model, advancing the digital transformation of its business, strengthening its leadership as an online retailer of household appliances and consumer electronics in Russia, as well as further increasing shareholder value by further advancing the Group's investor relations activities. The CEO of M.Video-Eldorado reports to the Board of Directors of PJSC M.Video and is responsible for all of its operations. He will oversee both the managing directors of M.Video and Eldorado and heads of shared functions such as commerce, finance, HR, supply management, distribution and logistics, as well as the Chief Operating Officer who oversees the IT, business transformation and data function. Izosimov, 56, started his management career in 1991 in the Stockholm office of McKinsey & Company. In 1996, he started working in the Russian office of Mars Inc., serving as a planning manager, CFO, sales director and CEO. In 2001, he became a member of the Global Executive Management Board at Mars Inc. as Regional President for the CIS, Central Europe, and Nordic regions. Enrique Fernandez has been with M.Video for more than a decade since joining in 2009 as a commercial director. He became CEO of M.Video in 2016 and successfully steered the company through its landmark merger with Eldorado, before overseeing the integration of the two companies as CEO of the expanded M.Video-Eldorado Group. Under Enrique Fernandez's leadership, the Company has efficiently implemented an omni-channel model across M.Video and Eldorado, and launched strategic projects that are at the heart of the Group's One Retail strategy, including a credit platform, the m_mobile brand, a mobile app and a platform for sales staff in stores (RTD).
