Macquarie Securities, the institutional equities arm of Macquarie Group ("Macquarie") (ASX: MQG; ADR: MQBKY), today announced the appointment of Fred Fogg and Lance Vegna as Co-Heads of its Portfolio Solutions group in the firm's New York office. The new appointments significantly bolster Macquarie's portfolio and investment management solutions services.

Fred Fogg joins as Co-Head of Portfolio Solutions. With more than 26 years experience in portfolio strategies, management and trading, he joins from Credit Suisse, where he was Co-Head of Americas for Transition Management. He has an established track record of providing customized transaction structuring, beta implementation and risk management solutions to clients. He held a similar role at Citigroup, and was previously at Morgan Stanley.

Lance Vegna joins as Co-Head of Portfolio Solutions. He was most recently Co-Head of Transition Management for the Americas at Credit Suisse, where he helped launch and develop various portfolio trading businesses. He has held relevant industry roles at Bank of New York, where he founded its program trading desk, and Furman Selz Capital Management. He has more than 20 years of industry experience and has deep knowledge of equity portfolio trading, sales, and portfolio transition management.

These appointments follow recent senior staff additions to Macquarie Securities, continuing the expansion in the strength and quality of the firms' US equities effort.
