NOTICE TO THE MARKET

Magazine Luiza S.A ("Company") hereby announces to its shareholders and the market in general that it entered, on this date, into an agreement with Via Varejo S.A. ("Assignor"), whose objective is the acquisition, by the Company, of the right to explore fifteen (15) sales points, currently operated by the Assignor, thirteen (13) of which in the state of São Paulo and two (2) in the state of Minas Gerais.
The conclusion of this transaction is contingent upon the compliance with certain conditions precedent, among which: (i) be approved by the Antitrust Authorities and; (ii) regarding each property, the Company, the Assignor and the respective lessor shall have signed an agreement reflecting the replacement of the Assignor by the Company, as the lessee of these properties.
The price of each sale point shall be paid by the Company to the Assignor as the conditions precedent are individually complied with. If all the conditions are complied with, the Company shall pay the total price of ten million, nine hundred and eighty-two thousand reais (R$10,982,000.00) for all the sales points.
With the acquisition of these sales points, Magazine Luiza reaffirms its commitment to sustainable growth, in addition to strengthen its strategy to consolidate the markets it currently operates. The sales points in the state of São Paulo are strategically located in the Metropolitan region (seven), on the coast (four) and in the countryside (two).
The Company will keep its shareholders and the market informed on the conclusion of this transaction.
