GLOBAL CONSORTIUM BACKS AUSTRALIAN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SECURITY

Magnis Resources Limited ("Magnis" or the "Company") (ASX:MNS) is pleased to announce that it is part of a global consortium led by Boston Energy and Innovation (BEI) which has signed an exclusive MoU with Townsville City Council to investigate building a 15GWh Lithium-ion Battery Manufacturing Plant in Townsville.

The consortium led by BEI is chaired by well-respected and highly regarded Australian businessman and philanthropist Bill Moss AO and consists of New York Stock Exchange listed Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:KODK), C4V and C&D Assembly both leaders in the lithium-ion battery space and both based in New York.

Magnis will have both ownership in the plant as well as providing anode materials and technologies.

GLOBAL CONSORTIUM BACKS AUSTRALIAN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SECURITY CONSORTIUM TO INVESTIGATE THE FINANCIAL VIABILITY OF BUILDING A 15GWH BATTERY MANUFACTURING PLANT IN TOWNSVILLE

An Exclusive MoU with Townsville City Council to investigate the Financial Viability of building a 15GWh Battery manufacturing plant in Townsville has been signed with Boston Energy and Innovation (BEI) led Consortium Chaired by Mr Bill Moss AO.

BEI is an ethical investment house specializing in the establishment of sustainable energy storage solutions in an environmentally sustainable manner to curb future energy problems faced by countries worldwide.

BEI Director Corey Cooney commented:

"The construction of a 15GWh manufacturing plant has the ability to create and underpin the manufacturing industries of the future."

BEI Chairman Bill Moss AO commented:

"This is a strategic step for Australia to be a world leader on the battery frontier and to ensure energy security of our nation."

Townsville Mayor Cr Jenny Hill commented:

"This proposal if it comes off will be the biggest single stimulus for jobs and economic development in Townsville in decades."

Once in full production the 15GWh manufacturing facility can produce either 250,000 car batteries per annum (up to 400kms range) or one million home battery units or support 300 microgrids to power small towns.

The BEI Consortium is committed to transforming Australia's energy security by pledging the new batteries will be cost competitive, better performing, a sustainable supply chain, environmentally friendly and an alternative to current major energy suppliers.

The project will also have tremendous benefits to the community of Townsville with up to 1000 direct jobs in the manufacturing facility and an additional 1000 new jobs in the direct support businesses with up to 5000 new jobs in downstream original equipment manufacturing.

• Dr Shailesh Upreti: An expert in the field of Lithium-ion batteries

• Dr Ulrich Helmut Bez: The former Chairman and CEO of Aston Martin for over 14 years.

• Dr Frank Houllis: Expert in metallurgical processing

Magnis Resources, will be providing anode materials and technologies using its high-quality graphite.

Eastman Kodak and C4V will provide the cathode material and manufacturing expertise. C&D Assembly, Inc. will provide the Lithium-ion battery management systems.
