ManpowerGroup announced on Friday evening that its board of directors had decided to pay an interim dividend of $0.72 per share, from 16 June, down sharply from the previous year.

The HR services group said that its board took into account the current earnings environment and related payout and yield ratios in determining the dividend amount.

Note that ManpowerGroup announced an interim dividend of $1.54 per share a year ago and six months ago, increases of nearly 5% over those decided a year earlier.
