SAN FRANCISCO (AP) _ Marin Software Inc. (MRIN) on Friday reported a loss of $2.5 million in its second quarter.

On a per-share basis, the San Francisco-based company said it had a loss of 23 cents. Losses, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 21 cents per share.

The cloud-based digital advertising management company posted revenue of $6.1 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in October, Marin Software said it expects revenue in the range of $5.5 million to $6 million.

Marin Software shares have more than quadrupled since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Friday, shares hit $8.28, rising fivefold in the last 12 months.
