Marsh McLennan Names Katherine J. Brennan General Counsel of Marsh LLC and Connor Kuratek Deputy General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Marsh McLennan

NEW YORK, May 17, 2021 - Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), the world's leading professional services firm in the areas of risk, strategy and people, has appointed Katherine J. Brennan as General Counsel of Marsh LLC and Connor Kuratek as Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Marsh McLennan. Both appointments are effective June 1.

Ms. Brennan will report to John Doyle, President and CEO, Marsh, and Peter J. Beshar, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, Marsh McLennan. In her new role, she will lead all legal and compliance strategy for the Marsh business globally. Kate will continue to chair Marsh McLennan's ESG management committee and the Company's enterprise-wide Crisis Management Team. Kate succeeds Susan A. Stone who has served as Marsh General Counsel since 2017 and has just been appointed as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of CNA.

She also served as General Counsel of Guy Carpenter from 2014 to 2015. Ms. Brennan currently serves on the Board of the Red Cross of Greater New York. She is a graduate of Duke University and the University of Virginia School of Law.

Mr. Kuratek succeeds Ms. Brennan and will report directly to Mr. Beshar. Mr. Kuratek most recently served as Chief Corporate Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary of Marsh McLennan, and was responsible for public filings, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic corporate transactions across the company. Prior to joining the company in 2016, he was a capital markets associate at Davis Polk in New York. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School.
