A number of our pub partners have been recognised in the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) Heart of the Community Awards.
18th Dec 2020

The awards recognise people who've gone above and beyond for their communities, looking out for locals and going out of their way to offer support.

Lisa & Paul at The Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite provided free hot meals to the over 70s and vulnerable community members during lockdown.

Matthew & Janine at The Holly Bush in Church Broughton partnered with local suppliers and started a food service, cooking and delivering over 200 free meals a week.

Keith & Susan at The Royal Oak in Wolverhampton raised £1,500 for local charity Midland Freewheelers, a 'blood bike' organisation whose volunteers transport anything of a medical nature to hospitals and medical facilities in the region.

Pubs play an enormous role in helping local communities and people in need.

Huge thanks and congratulations to all for the amazing support they have provided.
