On June 2nd we celebrated the Festa della Repubblica Italiana in Argentina with the Italian Consul in Mendoza, Ivo Michele Polacco, who honoured us with a visit for the opening of the Masi Wine Experience at Masi Tupungato.

The stars of the occasion, held in the Hall of Mirrors at the Hayat Hotel in Mendoza with a guest list of 300 people, were our Argentinian wines, Passo Doble and Passo Blanco, together with two wines from the Veneto, Campofiorin and Moxxé. This was a very appropriate selection for a stylish celebration of the links between Italian and Argentinian culture.

The organic wines produced on the Masi Tupungato estate owe their fame to their unmistakable style, resulting from the combination of local Argentinian grape varieties (Malbec for the reds and Torrontés for the whites), with Venetian varieties ( Corvina for the reds and Pinot Grigio for the whites), vinified with Masi's speciality, appassimento winemaking technique. The Masi Tupungato estate is located in the Uco Valley in Mendoza. Rich in local flora and fauna, it's open to visitors and provides a unique experience in an oasis of biodiversity where organic cultivation rules.
