Apt to its role in the service of humanitarian causes through its well-established social responsibility policy towards all aspects of life in Qatar and its regional surroundings, Masraf Al Rayan, a leading bank in Qatar, answered the call made by Qatar Red Crescent to contribute to the projects of the renowned agency for the year 2014.

Mr. Adel Mustafawi, the Group Chief Executive Officer at Masraf Al Rayan, made an statement vis-à-vis the occasion, saying that "the contribution of Masraf Al Rayan, comes as a response to the call made by QRC as an official national body known for its humanitarian and relief efforts around the world, and also as a manifestation of the belief in the role of Islamic financial institutions and their contribution to charity as a way of responding to the needs of disaster victims". He added, "we do feel the profundity and importance of QRC involvement through projects designed to help the needy and ease the suffering of many people around the world, which replicate our own line towards our core religious believers and Masraf Al Rayan's quest".

It is noteworthy that Masraf Al Rayan, one of the leading banks in Qatar, has ranked high among the Islamic banks in Qatar and the region. It announced a growth rate in its profits during the first nine months of 2013 of 15.4%, with net profits of 1,250 million during the period. Also Masraf Al Rayan currently runs 11 branches in Qatar, supported by a wide network of ATMs scattered strategically throughout Qatar. As well as a range of sophisticated banking services to better facilitate customer service, like Al Rayan Mobile (Mobile banking service), in addition to Al Rayan Net, Al Rayan Phone and Al Rayan SMS, which provide Masraf Al Rayan's customers with greater convenience and security.
