Masraf Al Rayan Q S C : wins “Best Arab Bank in 2016”in business and financial services category

Masraf Al Rayan, the leading bank in Qatar and the region, has won the 'Best Arab Bank Award 2016' in its first edition launched in Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco on 27 November. The nomination criteria for the business and financial services sector were based on several standards; one being the degree of flexibility of the business model adopted, products and services marketing plan, the financial and social return, the role and activities of the corporate social responsibility, the risk assessment and risk mitigation processes, the cumulative experience of senior management team and quantity and quality of decisions of members of the senior management team in responding to the challenges of local, regional and international business.

The top winners were chosen in many sub-categories including the financial services and energy sectors, food industry, transportation logistics sector, telecom, retail, healthcare, information technology, media and publishing, agricultural sector, research, insurance and real estate sector petrochemical sector of various Arabic countries. Mr. Nasser Raeissi - AGM Human Resources and Administration; 'Masraf Al Rayan is honored to win this award and thankful to the Organizing Committee on the initiative and idea of recognizing and honoring leading Arab institutions in business and financial sectors, which will reflect positively on improving performance and service indicators to ensure competitiveness at local, regional and global levels'.

It is worth mentioning that Masraf Al Rayan has been awarded, for the 2nd time, a certificate of thanks and appreciation from the GCC Council of Ministers of Labor at a celebration held in the Saudi capital Riyadh during the 33rd session of the GCC Council, to honor outstanding private sector companies. Masraf Al Rayan was granted this certificate in recognition of its outstanding efforts in achieving high employment rates in the provision of job opportunities for GCC citizens and localization of job opportunities at the regional level.

About the prize:

The Best Arab Award is established in 2016, as an initiative from Global D TI Group from the Kingdom of Morocco, which is specialized in organizing events and training and Universe Sports Co. a Qatari company specialized in sports marketing and development of frameworks and systems. Prizes are awarded in three main categories; Business leadership, financial services and community leadership.
