Maven Wireless Sweden AB (publ), a market leader of groundbreaking solutions in wireless coverage, has been granted a fifth patent in China for multi-operator O-RAN using DAS

The new patent in China covers key elements on how to provide multi-operator mobile coverage for Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) systems using Distributed Antenna System (DAS). This patent strengthens and protects the company position for delivering its DAS for ORAN based coverage solutions.

An Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) is a totally disaggregated approach to deploying mobile fronthaul and midhaul networks built entirely on cloud native principles. O-RAN is an evolution of the Next Generation RAN (NG- RAN) architecture, first introduced by the GSMA’s 3GPP in their release 15. More information about O-RAN can be found at o-ran.org.
