If you think the typical McDonald's fan is likely someone in the teenage crowd, think again.

It's more likely that teenager's mom.

The average McDonald's customer is between 41 and 56 years old, pretty well educated (undergrad degree or at least some college), married and white, according to research from Numerator, an analytics firm.

She's living in suburbia, somewhere in the southeastern U.S., according to a Business Insider reporton the data, and lives in a household that makes well over $50,000 a year — more in the range of $80,000.

The typical customer hits up the fast food chain nearly 50 times a year, spending $8.35 per visit and her favorite menu items include breakfast options, crispy chicken sandwiches and fries.

And she's not just a McD's fan — she's hitting QSRs about 149 times each year.
