Rawden Joint Ventures Corp. has adopted Carousel cloud software to run employee-facing digital signage in 47 of its McDonald's franchise locations in Pennsylvania and Delaware, according to a press release.

The digital signage serves a rotation of relevant content to employees on signs in restaurants in locations such as spaces near clock-in stations, according to the release. The content blends McDonald's corporate content with Rawden Joint Ventures content. A major selling point of the Carousel system was its compatibility with Apple TV hardware.

"We receive training updates from corporate that include new products, promotions, incentives and initiatives," Matei Mihai, operations supervisor at Rawden Joint Ventures, said in the release. "These are traditionally communicated in print. When the papers start piling up in the crew room or completely take over the walls, it becomes very cumbersome and ineffective. We wanted a new way to communicate that was dynamic in nature, and easily managed from a single point."

The technology provides new ways to build corporate culture and communication. "We are an organization that cares about our employees, and we put our people first," Mihai said in the release. "That means keeping everyone engaged and educated about how we can help them in a consistent manner. It's not always important what you do; it's how you communicate what you do. The goal of our digital signage is to increase crew retention, provide engaging content and celebrate each other at the store and organization level. We can now provide a consistent message across all our stores so that everyone sees and understands the same benefits, incentives and messaging."
