McDonald's that has long supported the Wood Change Network, a network promoted by the Forestry Agency for the active use of domestic lumber and has actively been using domestic lumber for exterior and structural materials when building new restaurants and remodeling or rebuilding existing ones, has newly entered the Agreement on Promotion of Wood Use in Buildings with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).

Through this agreement, McDonald's will further promote the use of domestic lumber in cooperation with the Forestry Agency of MAFF.

In February, our system-wide sales and same-store sales increased by 4.4% and 3.0%, respectively, compared to the same month of the previous year.

  • McDonald's first Asian fair, Asia-no-Juicy, offered three kinds of Asian flavors to be enjoyed with Tantan Double Beef, Yurinchi Chicken and Sweet Chili Shrimp being sold for a limited time.
    In order to also enable the Asian flavors to be enjoyed with Gohan Burger, two kinds, Asian Gohan Yurinchi and Asian Gohan Sweet Chili Shrimp, were offered for a limited time as menu items for Yoru Mac® available from 5pm.
  • McFlurry® Koeda, the first collaboration between the popular regular dessert item McFlurry® and Koeda™ from Morinaga, was offered for a limited time. It was enjoyed by many customers together with the popular regular dessert item McFlurry® Cho-Oreo®Cookie.
  • In addition to drive-thru, delivery, digital measures that prioritize safety and security with customers' convenience in mind, we are putting more focus on dinner hours, continuing our Value program, introducing new menu items, and engaging in marketing activities that strengthen connections with customers. Through these, base sales are steadily rising.
