McDonald's has been engaged in charity activities such as the Ronald McDonald House (RMHC), an accommodation facility for children experiencing illness and their families. On Sunday, November 19, we will hold our annual McHappy Day - "Blue Mac Day"-, a charity event where McDonald's*1 donates 50 yen for every Happy Meal purchased at McDonald's restaurants nationwide to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Japan (RMHC), a public interest incorporated foundation that operates the House. We also aim to expand the awareness of RMHC across Japan while partnering with our customers, employees and the community to support the charity. McDonald's restaurants will be decorated in blue, the theme color for RMHC*2. In addition to balloons and other decorations in the restaurants, takeout bags and cold drink cups will utilize limited-edition blue packaging to celebrate and make Blue Mac Day more exciting.

In October, system-wide sales and same-store sales increased by 5.3% and 3.9%, respectively, compared to the same month of the previous year.

• Continuing from September, we offered seven Tsukimi Family products, traditional popular autumn flavors, for a limited time. In addition to Tsukimi Burger, which was launched in 1991, and other classic items that have been popular for a long time, this year we offered new Shichimi-scentedBeef Sukiyaki Tsukimi and other items.
• Our autumn/winter classic dessert, Sankaku Choco Pie, was re-introduced with two versions for a limited time: Sankaku Choco Pie Black and the newly launched Sankaku Choco Pie Zaku Zaku Milk Caramel.
• To further enhance customer convenience, d-pay, Rakuten Pay, PayPay, and au PAY *3, which have been used in Mobile Order and McDelivery® Service, are now accepted for payment at cash registers and drive-thrus at McDonald's restaurants nationwide (excluding some restaurants).
