MCI Capital recorded PLN 465.79 million of consolidated net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company in 2021 compared to PLN 134.35 million of profit a year earlier, the company - informs ISB News, followed by Inwestycje.pl.

"We are ending 2021 with a record net result of PLN 466 million, net assets of PLN 1,808.2 million and a balance sheet total of PLN 2,064.2 million. NAV / S amounted to PLN 35.16 as at December 31, 2021 and increased by 29.5% compared to the previous year" - writes Tomasz Czechowicz, managing partner of MCI in the letter attached to the yearly report.

"The net profit in 2021 is mainly due to the profit on investment in the amount of PLN 374 million. These results were most influenced by the result of the MCI.EuroVentures 1.0 subfund (MCI.EV) in the amount of PLN 311.4 million, increased by the positive result of the MCI.TechVentures 1.0 subfund (MCI.TV) in the amount of PLN 61.5 million. This means that in 2021 both subfunds generated an over 20% rate of return".

He emphasized that 2021 is another year of successful exits from investments. 11 transactions carried out by the company generated over PLN 290 million in inflows to the funds. The biggest exit was by MCI.EV subfund from the investment in Pigu.lt (the leader of e-commerce in the Baltic Sea) to the MidEuropa Fund in June 2021 with a total value of PLN 167 million (2.2 CoC). This exit led to the automatic redemption of MCI.TV investment certificates and therefore payments to investors in the amount of PLN 68 million, we can read in the letter.

"In 2021, we have managed to complete two new investments so far. The first in the form of a recapitalization with MidEuropa fund by MCI.EV into Pigu (PLN 98 million) in the first quarter of 2021. In February 2022, MCI.EV made a transaction, as a result of which it will acquire 55% of shares in eSky Group (the transaction amount is PLN 158 million) - the Polish leader in the Online Travel Agency (OTA) segment with a strong international presence in over 60 countries "- also mentioned the CEO.
