Day two of #NationalCustomerServiceWeek and today focuses on Celebrating Service with Respect. With nearly 80% of the UK's workforce working in customer-facing roles, mounting abuse is affecting colleagues across every sector.

The Service with Respect Campaign launched by the Institute of Customer Service aims to combat the abuse and anti-social behaviour experienced by essential workers in customer-facing roles.

At Mears, we fully support the Service with Respect Campaign. Group Director of Marketing Communications and Customer Success, Gary Jackson said-

"By supporting the Service with Respect campaign, we will be joining the efforts of many other organisations and helping to raise awareness of the zero-tolerance approach to hostility and abuse directed towards customer service workers.

"As you would expect, Mears has gone further than just supporting the campaign and strengthened our customer training and toolbox talks to include conflict resolution and more on fairness and inclusion. We have also launched our 'right to walkaway' campaign and included more related materials in our wellbeing centre, that colleagues can use to help them manage difficult experiences."
